Bahia Mar, Pier 66, Las Olas, Sailfish. A breakdown of the major Fort Lauderdale marinas, what each is best known for, and which one fits your charter.
Fort Lauderdale calls itself the yachting capital of the world and the marina infrastructure backs that up. There are more registered yachts per capita here than in any other U.S. city. For a charter client the question is which marina to depart from. The right answer depends on where your group is coming from, what voyage you booked, and how much you care about the on-property scene.
This is a marina-by-marina breakdown of the four major Fort Lauderdale options. We dock vessels at all of them and have opinions on each. None of them is wrong. Some are better matches than others.
If you are staying on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Bahia Mar is closest. If you are downtown or in the Las Olas hotel district, Las Olas Marina or Pier 66.
Most marinas require ID at the gate. We provide guest passes 24 hours before charter so your group walks in without friction.
Pier 66 has the most full-service hotel, restaurants, and pool club on-property. Bahia Mar has more historic character. Las Olas Marina is most central. Sailfish is most working-marina.
Pier 66 and Bahia Mar are roughly equidistant from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, about 15 minutes by Uber.
Bahia Mar and Pier 66 both have paid parking lots. Las Olas has limited street and lot parking. Confirm at booking.
Yes at Bahia Mar and Pier 66. Las Olas has restaurants steps from the docks. Sailfish is more bare-bones.
Bahia Mar Yachting Center is the default for our Fort Lauderdale fleet. Other marinas available on request with vessel availability dependent.
