First full week of December, the city fills with collectors, gallery principals, museum directors, art-world critics, and the sponsor and brand-partner ecosystem that surrounds them. Yacht charters during Art Basel are the off-fair venue for evening dinners, collector parties, and the kind of curated social moments the fair is built around.
