Nixon's Sandbar Charter

Nixon's Sandbar is the answer when your group wants the sandbar experience without the Haulover party. Same shallow flats, same protected water, but the scene is quieter, the boats are spaced out, and conversation actually works. This is the charter we recommend for family groups, multi-generational trips, business clients you want to impress without overwhelming, and anyone who wants a relaxed afternoon on the water. The vessel anchors in 3 to 6 feet of sand bottom, drops the swim platform, and you are in the water in under five minutes. Most groups stay anchored for the full window. Some do a slow loop past Oleta River State Park on the way back. The captain can also pivot to Haulover if the energy of your group shifts and you want to be in the middle of the scene. Both spots are within 20 minutes of each other. The four-hour charter is the standard. Add catering or a chef for a proper sit-down lunch onboard. Bring paddleboards or use the inflatable water-toy add-on for kids. Sunscreen, towels, and ice are stocked. You bring the people.

Frequently Asked
How is Nixon's different from Haulover?
Nixon's is quieter, the boats are spaced out, and there is less party energy. Same shallow protected water, much more relaxed scene.
Is it good for families with young kids?
Yes. The shallow flats are ideal for kids to splash safely and the lower boat density means easier supervision.
Can we pair with another sandbar in the same charter?
Yes. Captain can move you to Haulover or Key Biscayne mid-charter. Each repositioning takes 20 minutes or less.
Is there shade?
On the boat yes. Bring sun hats and reef-safe sunscreen for swim time.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes. Coolers welcome. We can also pre-stock catering or arrange a chef.
What time of day is best?
Late morning to mid-afternoon. The light is softest, the wind is lightest, and the water is at its clearest before afternoon chop sets in.
